Cosponsored by CCAR Press and the RAC
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s phrase "the fierce urgency of now" feels just as relevant today as it did in 1963. As a movement for justice sweeps the nation, how can we as Jews take part? Join the Central Conference of American Rabbis and the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism for a panel discussion inspired by the CCAR Press book Moral Resistance and Spiritual Authority: Our Jewish Obligation to Social Justice. The book's lessons will be discussed in light of Black Lives Matter, the Supreme Court's recent decision on LGBT discrimination, and new developments concerning DACA and immigration.
